John Corrigan Award Launched

Minister for Finance, Michael McGrath TD, announced the launch of the Irish Association of Investment Managers’ (IAIM) John Corrigan Award at the association’s annual dinner. The award is named in memory of John Corrigan, the former Chairperson of IAIM and Chief Executive of the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA), who passed away in March.

Honouring a Legacy

Launching the award, Minister McGrath paid tribute to John Corrigan’s significant contributions to Ireland’s economic recovery and public service:

“John’s commitment and leadership at a time of immense turmoil in the wake of the country’s financial crisis, as well as his decades of public service, are to be commended,” he said.

“In his role as Chief Executive of the National Treasury Management Agency, he played a critical role in Ireland’s recovery. This award honours his outstanding contribution to the industry and to Ireland.”

John Corrigan, a former Chair of IAIM, served as CEO of the NTMA for nearly a decade. He was instrumental in guiding the Irish economy through the global financial crisis of 2008, earning widespread respect for his leadership and expertise.
